Plates – Paper

Certified compostable paper plates go in your compost cart. Look for labeling on the packaging, as well as on the plate itself.

If the plates are not certified compostable, they are likely lined with plastic and should go in the landfill cart.

For county areas that have yard waste carts not compost carts this material goes into your landfill cart.
